The United Nations Library is a joint library of United Nations Agencies in the Kyrgyz Republic. The United Nations Library serves as the focal point for public information on the activities of the UN and its agencies in the Kyrgyz Republic and the main public resource facility for disseminating information about the UN system.

Members of the public, users from the Government Agencies, NGOs, the media, private sector, as well as scholars and students from local and foreign universities, research institutions, and schools are most welcomed to visit the UN House library situated in the buildings of the National Kyrgyz University.
We also welcome the visiting researchers who are working in the areas relevant to the United Nations' work and wish to use our collections or the online resources of the UN, for reference purposes.

As of now, the library collection comprises more than 4000 titles of books and publications displayed on open-shelves in the National Kyrgyz University's library. The collection focuses on UN agencies' development programmes and activities, the national economic situation, population studies, statistics, and other documents. Basic texts on the history of the Organization and its structure and activities are available; so are the major reference sources of information on political, economic, social, humanitarian, legal and other activities of the United Nations system. Main documents and publications of ILO, UNAIDS, UNCTAD, UNDP, UNESCO, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNIFEM, UNOHCHR, WHO, etc., in English and Russian are also available. The collection is constantly enriched by new publications.
