The incumbent will contribute into the joint project implementation between the Central Asian Gateway (CAG) Component and Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program by collecting national statistical data to be placed into the CAG on-line Database of Regional Economic Cooperation.

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader the National Consultant will bear overall responsibility for duly and timely implementation of the below activities:

• Present a detailed work plan with description of exact dates of work stages performance for approval by Team Leader;

• Identify and establish channels for collecting official statistical data on country of residence;

• Provide information required to fill the statistical tables in English or Russian, provided by Team Leader, strictly in given measurement units(for example: million USD, indexes, text entry). In case of impossibility to provide such information National Consultant should give his comments and offers on substitution of required data;

• Ensure compliance of provided data collection methodology to general specifications approved by IMF;

• Collect, format and provide an electronic version of significant analytical publications issued in the country of residence for placement on the web-site;

• Working in accordance with the UNDP rules and procedures;

• Performing other duties related to activity required by Team Leader.

• University degree in any of the following areas: Economics, Business or Public Administration. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• At least 2 years of experience in the field of economic research, information analysis, economic forecasting and analytical writing. Experience in partnerships building and public outreach activities, as well as work in international development organization is considered as an advantage;

• Ability to work under stressful conditions;

• Fluency in written and spoken English or Russian (optional).
