UNDP HIV/AIDS Programme in the Kyrgyz Republic seeks for 2 (two) qualified International Expert-Trainers to conduct a training for journalists on coverage of HIV/AIDS issue in Mass Media.

Post Title: Two international expert-trainers on HIV/AIDS and media: one trainer for printing media, the other €“ for electronic media

Duration: 5 full days (3 training days, 1 day for preparatory work and 1 day for writing of the report) in the fall of 2007

• Strong academic background in journalism and/or social sciences.

• Solid experience in the areas of HIV/AIDS, mass media, journalism and particularly in the areas of lecturing HIV/AIDS for media representatives

• Relevant experience in working with mass-media, HIV/AIDS organizations, etc.

• Strong understanding of Kyrgyzstan€™s specifics and the development situation in Central Asia in general.

• Computer literacy is an asset.

• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills are preferred.

• Applicant must have excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills in Russian. Working knowledge of English is an advantage.

• Detail oriented, able to meet deadlines and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
