| Terms of Reference | With the aim to support the government efforts for upholding commitments to engendering policy in Kyrgyzstan, UNIFEM plans to hire a Programme Specialist/Gender Advisor, based in Bishkek, who will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the government and civil society partners in the area of promoting gender issues within policy and public agenda. The Programme Specialist/Gender Advisor will work under the overall supervision of the UNIFEM Regional Programme Director. S/he will specifically support the implementation of the complex activities in Kyrgyzstan, and will receive technical guidance from the UNIFEM CIS Regional Office, as well as regular information from the Europe and CIS section and the thematic sections at UNIFEM Headquarters. The Advisor will work in regular consultation with the UNCT and the UN Gender Theme Group. |
