Objective/purpose of the consultancy To support annual review and reporting processes with a focus on Equity approach and to provide quality proof-reading and editing of the Country Office Annual Report-2013 Background It is a must for the CO to prepare the Annual Report at the end of each year. The overall purposes of the Country Office Annual Report (COAR) are: to sharpen the analysis by the Country Office of performance in order to improve programme quality; to improve programme implementation and management; to provide input to organization-wide reporting on results for children and women from UNICEF cooperation in the framework of the MTSP; and to contribute to organizational learning. Annual review and reporting should draw on the different components of the Monitoring Results with Equity System (MoRES) within a Human Rights Based Approach to Programming framework to structure the analysis, determine strategy and guide work planning decisions To ensure the highest quality of the final COAR-2013 the Country office seeks for qualified consultancy services in coordinating the compilation of programme inputs, proof-reading, editing and developing a public version of the report. Background |
Qualification or specialized knowledge/experience •A minimum of 3 years of experience in international development, with specific focus on strategic planning, RBM, and communications. •Ability to think analytically, synthesize and clearly present complex processes and issues to heterogeneous audiences. •Excellent writing skills in English - ability to write in a structured and concise manner. •Knowledge of the UN system guidelines and methodologies is an advantage. •Knowledge of the socio-cultural and economic context of Kyrgyzstan, including the June 2010 inter-ethnic conflict and other key stress factors. •Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Duration of contract: The estimated duration of the work is about 8 weeks. The work will be conducted within the framework of the individual contract between the UNICEF and Contractor upon agreement of the Terms of Reference and budget. This contract does not allow payment of off-hours, medical insurances, taxes, sick leave.
